Time for home: Tim Peake scheduled for return on 18th June 2016

Tim and his Expedition 47 colleagues will spend two weeks longer on the International Space Station than was initially planned to continue the vital scientific research they are conducting which is impacting us here on Earth and astronauts on board the ISS as well as to keep the ISS running at a 6 astronaut capacity for as long as possible

Tim, Tim Kopra and Yuri Malenchenko will return via the Soyuz TMA-19M capsule to the Kazakh Steppe in central Asia.

This new date means that mission Principia and the Expedition 47 crew will have been in space for 6 months and 3 days in total.
