On 19th December 2012, Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield launched in the Soyuz TMA-07M for a long duration stay on the International Space Station as part of Expedition 35.
Hadfield became the first Canadian to command the ISS and during his time on board, receive huge media exposure due to the videos and music he recorded in his free time. Famously he recorded a rendition of ‘Space Oddity’ in tribute to David Bowie:
